Mars Roundup: Month of March

Mars, god of war. And March, kind of. But not marching. Unless it’s for war. Then, sure.

In the month of March, we had a St. Patrick’s Day Giveaway (congrats to the lucky bastards who won!).

B.L.A. started a new feature for the CIRCO blog called the “BLA thought of the day.” You can check out the posts by searching the categories/the gears on which we spin in the sidebar. (B.L.A. can have some pretty weird thoughts, so don’t be surprised. Not that you would be, because B.L.A. is the one who wrote THE AUTOMATION after all).

We unrolled some new concept art for THE AUTOMATION here and here and here. More to come! Maybe. Probably. Hopefully.

We made an announcement that we’re now on Medium.

We said goodbye to Sir Terry Pratchett. He will be missed.

We got all giggly inside when Ursula K. Le Guin schooled Kazuo Ishiguro on Fantasy.

And, our most important headline: You can now read and download the entire novel THE AUTOMATION, vol. 1 of the CIRCO DEL HERRERO series on Goodreads.  Exclamation mark, exclamation mark, exclamation mark!!!

That pretty much sums up the Mars month on the CIRCO blog. Except for one last pun: March on outta here, March!

[“BLA and GB Gabbler” (really just a pen name – singular) are the Editor and Narrator behind THE AUTOMATION, vol. 1 of the Circo del Herrero series. They are on facebook, twitter, tumblr, goodreads, and Vulcan’s shit list.]

Happy birthday Fred and George Weasley, the greatest #aprilfools

There’s a post about the top 10 twins in children’s books over at The Guardian. Fred and George should have been number one.

Also, we’re pretty sure the only reason Odys and Odissa didn’t make the list is because THE AUTOMATION isn’t really a children’s book. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

Cats as non-mammals #BLAThoughtoftheday

Owls are the cats of birds. Snakes are the cats of reptiles. Catfish are the cats of fish.

That was my thought.
